Written for two descant recorders and chamber ensemble. This short piece was composed for intermediate to advanced primary school recorder students to develop their ability to play against a syncopated accompaniment and to hold their line in harmony with another part. Section D allows the students space to improvise in response to what they have already been playing. The teacher may decide whether or not to interpret the dynamics in the recorder parts.
The accompaniment should be crisp and energetic.
Written for Recorder Lift Off in 2020.
