This work was composed in 2020 as a recreation of a very early work. The original "a green meadow" was composed by a teenage Don Kay, and the work was destroyed by a music student in Colac, Victoria, where Kay worked in the 1950s after graduating from the University of Melbourne. The work seeks to represent the Tier Hill area in the North West of Tasmania both literally in the bright opening, as well as spiritually in the darker answering phrase. (Simon Reade).
