About TSO Publishing

We’re bringing Tasmanian music to the world.

WHO WE ARE

TSO Publishing is an initiative of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO) designed to elevate the work of our represented artists on the global stage. Rooted in the rich cultural fabric of Tasmania, TSO Publishing is dedicated to supporting and empowering composers and arrangers.

As part of the TSO, we provide a platform that not only represents the highest levels of artistic identity and integrity, but also nurtures the next generation of musical talent.

WHAT WE DO

At TSO Publishing, we specialize in sellinghiring and licensing music materials. Our digital shopfront makes sheet music and scores accessible to a global audience, ensuring that composers are rewarded with generous royalty rates.

We handle the complexities of copyright management, negotiate license deals, and offer support services to our artists. Our mission is to protect creativity, facilitate professional growth, and generate income for composers through proper management of their intellectual property.

OUR ARTISTS

Our artists are all connected to the island in some way. They are Tasmanian born and bred, made Tassie their home later in life, or have become intrinsically linked with the orchestra. We’ve commissioned works from them, performed their music, trained and mentored them. Our represented artists have travelled, taught and trained across the world, won awards and had their work broadcast and recorded.

TSO Publishing gives these artists a home base, and takes them to the rest of the world. From an island way down south, we’re sharing our music with you.

We’re proud to represent artists like local legend Don Kay, whose work is inspired by Tasmania’s natural environments and history; the prolific Maria Grenfell, influenced by poetic and literary sources; Jabra Latham, whose contemporary compositions have been streamed half a million times, and Holly Harrison, former TSO Composer in Residence with a career on the rise.
