Tombo is a percussion feature based on a solo xylophone piece written by Tracey, about a Dragonfly nymph named Tombo that transitions from its home in a lake into its adult form on shore. When its wings first form, it begins to flit and dart around catching its first feed of mosquitoes and small midges. One by one more Dragonflies emerge and join them and the air becomes full of hungry darting dragonflies looking for insects to eat. When Tombo is finally full they rest on a reed and admire a reflection of themselves, appreciating the fierce and agile warrior insect that it has become.
