This piece is dedicated to one of my grandchildren who has shown an abiding interest in music since a 1 year old. Now 6 years old he improvises with me on the piano and is fascinated to see me rehearse with other musicians. Maybe he'll pick up an instrument, maybe he won't, but I think that's an open question for all of us, especially the young and brave. The trumpet / flugelhorn horn outro was written with my 13 year old grandson trumpet player mind. Arrangement by Jabra Latham.
