A short and simple, yet soulful work. 'The Chorister's Prayer' sets the historic prayer, which is spoken by thousands of choirs around the globe despite having no traceable writer. This is a suitable introit or anthem for Eucharist Mass or Evensong, yet applies in secular settings where the love of making choral music is profound for many singers.
This setting is dedicated to my mother, as a thank you for her teachings in music and in life.
