This is a romantic bolero/chachacha in the Cuban style inspired by the virtuosic artistry of fabled charanga flautists Antonio Arcaño, Jose Fajardo and Eduardo "Richard" Egües. The cello and viola make the initial melodic statements. The flute and cello engage in a dialogue, with the flute gradually taking the lead. The tonality moves from Emi to Emaj as the rhythm changes from the slow bolero to a lively chachacha. The flute plays a quasi-improvised, brilliant solo while the strings create the dance rhythm. There is a transition back to the original tempo and key, and the melody is restated by the flute, once again in dialogue with the cello.
