This short piece was composed to assist beginner to intermediate primary school recorder students to develop their ability to play the notes A and B in musical phrases and to count multi-rests. The teacher may decide whether or not to interpret the dynamics in the recorder part.
The accompaniment should be played emotively, with wistful nostalgia.
